1867: The Bickford home was built as the personal residence of one of the prominent physicians of Macedon.
1967: The Bickford Home was puchased by the Schumacher family and operated as a Veterans Home caring for disabled veterans under the oversite of the veterans administration.
1982: The Bickford Home became licensed by the State of New York and began operating under the oversite of the New York Department of Health.
1998: The Bickford Home was purchased by Peter and Shirley Schumacher
2013: The Bickford Home began running under Peter and Shirley's son, Peter G. and his family, making four generations of Schumachers taking care of disabled veterans.
